The semi-final elimination always seems the cruelest of all. To make it through all these weeks and to fall at the last hurdle must be galling. And this year’s Strictly competition is even harder as the remaining couples all have their own talents.

Relieved that Helen is through but surprised that this is Will’s first time in the dance off. It feels that Fleur should get through unless they make mistakes…
Why Did Will Mellor leave?
It perhaps wasn’t that much of a surprise considering that Will was at the bottom of the Leaderboard after both dances last night. In particular, after that Dad-dancing Couples Choice effort, it was hard to see viewers supporting that over the other semi-finalists’ decent efforts.
Strictly is one of these shows which can change your opinion on certain celebs. When Will was announced for the 2022 line-up we expected a cheeky-chappie persona. But instead, he revealed himself to be a far more earnest character as well as highly emotional.
With no disrespect to him and Nancy, it feels that the right four dancers have made it to the final.
