Advertise your Edinburgh Fringe Show

Over the last five years, The Recs has positioned itself as one of the sites to visit for Fringe. We have given the first professional reviews to shows like Mythos: Ragnarok, which have gone on to sell out around the world. We’ve raved about productions such as Cadel: Lungs on Legs, Gwyneth Goes Skiing, and The Last Laugh, which have since toured the UK, Australia, Ireland, and the United States. We gave early support to Rob Madge: My Son’s A Queer (But What Can You Do?), which went on to play Off-Broadway and is returning to the West End.

Advertise on The Recs' Homepage

The Fringe is phenomenally expensive for performers but also for review sites. Each year, it becomes a little harder to afford “to do the Fringe” as much as we love it.

As someone said in our recent Edfringe Q&As, for better or worse, it remains the theatre industry’s only real equivalent to a trade fair and The Recs wants to keep promoting shows, discovering talent and providing as best arts coverage of the Edinburgh Fringe as we can do.

For the first time in five years of Fringe coverage, we have decided to carry an advertising carousel on our front page – just like the one here.

How will this work?
If you are bringing a show to the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe, from today you can request an advertising square slot on our homepage by emailing promo@therecs.co.uk expressing your interest – with 4 essential pieces of info

1) A text-free image of your show – this can be your artwork (without text) or a production image or any single image that you think will appeal to our readers.  A Square Image is best – a horizontal image is good – a vertical image will probably work but may reduce in size to fit the space. Choose wisely.

2) The title of your show – we are limited to 29 characters so if your show’s title is longer, choose your best edited version.

3) The URL of the ticket-buying link where readers may purchase tickets – this could be your listing on the Edfringe.com website OR your venue’s website or even your own website with ticket links.

4) Payment – confirmation that you have paid the fee of £45 into  this Paypal link: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/JELXC3QNFE7PU (please make sure that you include your show name in the notes)

We will aim to get your show on the Homepage carousel within 48hrs and it will stay there for the duration of the Fringe.

Thank You

We really appreciate you supporting our site. Every fee spent advertising your show helps pay for our site hosting, our photoshop fee to continue making striking graphics for social media, and much more to keep The Recs going. So thank you!
