Strictly Contestant: Tyler West

Strictly Come Dancing adds KISS radio host Tyler West to their competing celebs this year.

Tyler West follows in the Strictly footsteps of fellow KISS DJ Melvin Odoom who had a “varied” journey on the show – having been in the first couple to leave in Series 14 but then returned the next year  to win the Strictly Christmas Special. How will Tyler do?

Well if you are over 35, you’ve probably not heard of Tyler! So let’s fill you in: he hosts weekday afternoons on KISS radio station. He was even nominated for a prestigious award as Best New Presenter.

A fitness devotee, Tyler played handball for the GB National team from a young age.

Previous Dance Experience?

If he has previous dance experience, Tyler is keeping it well-hidden.
 
However we have found this short clip in which his moves aren’t too shabby.

He may not be the best known of this year’s contestants but Tyler is super fit, very cool and has a mega-watt smile. Probably the hardest to call so far, but The Recs has a good feeling that he won’t be heading West too soon.  Though he needs to stop saying things like ““I am SO gassed to be joining the Strictly family”. Immediately!
