The cream of American talent is set to bring a taste of Broadway and Hollywood to London.

London’s beautiful art deco cabaret space, The Crazy Coqs, is set to host an irresistible season of top-rank US performers starting in March. Entitled Americans In London, it will see a roster of outstanding Stateside talent bring a celebration of Hollywood, Broadway and beyond to London’s West End.

 

Season Highlights

Melissa Errico sings Michel Legrand : Amour & After

Tony award-nominee, Melissa Errico brings insider stories and her unique theatrical enchantment in her personal tribute show to Legrand. 

“Amour” was the title of Michel’s only Broadway musical, which earned Melissa a Tony Award nomination. She explains, “I call the show ‘Amour & After’ because that’s also the great subject of all French songs: ‘Amour’ – love! — and everything that comes afterwards.”

Benjamin Scheuer: Elodie’s Mountain

Elodie’s Mountain is a new solo show from American singer-songwriter Benjamin Scheuer in which he speaks with his small daughter about big ideas – and learns that when you have kids you can’t choose who they are.

Scheuer is the creator/performer of The Lion (Off West End Award for Best New Musical, Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance) and he is the recipient of the 2021 Kleban Prize for Lyrics.

On a clear day you can see Simply Barbra Forever

The brilliant Steven Brinberg returns as Barbra Streisand in his new show celebrating the 51st anniversary of one of Streisand’s most beloved films (one year late!).

On A Clear Day You Can See Forever was Vincente Minnelli’s final movie musical and a 28-year old Streisand’s third big-screen role. Brinberg will perform songs from the film as well as the stage musical, and offer anecdotes about the making of the film; as well as some classic Streisand hits.

The show promises that a special guest performer will join Barbra for a duet in each show.

Lillias White and Billy Stritch

For the first time, Broadway star and Tony Award winner, Lillias White will appear on the Crazy Coqs stage with not one, but two of her most popular shows. 

Lillias White sings Broadway will see the acclaimed singer perform many of the hit songs that she brought to the Broadway stage in musicals such as Cats, Dreamgirls, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Fela, Once on This Island, The Life, Chicago, and Barnum.

Hoagy Carmichael & Friends sees White interpret popular songs written by Hoagy Carmichael who penned Stardust, Georgia on My Mind, and Heart and Soul, as well as other standards from the American songbook.

Anne Steele in ‘Broadway Goes to the Movies’

For one night only, cabaret star, Anne Steele brings her unique energy to Crazy Coqs, performing songs that started on Broadway and made their way to the silver screen.

Anne Steele has performed sold-out concerts in NYC for over 20 years. Her most recent CD, Made Out Of Stars, was followed with an extensive tour that played to audiences from LA to Chicago to Nashville to London.
